Scholarship Application

Senior leadership nominations include co-leader, house leader, arts captain, sports captain, academic captain and student council positions. These positions are open to all current Year 12 students. The expectation is that students running for leadership positions will also be considered for house leader roles. All of those students looking to become a co-leader will have to the opportunity to speak to the school before the election.

Senior honours award nominations are for outstanding achievement in the areas of service, sport, culture and/or arts. Nominations are for Year 13 students only.

Scholarship applications cover all scholarships offered at Awatapu College, e.g. Education Trust scholarships, PTA scholarships. Applications are open to all Year 13 students.

Winter Tournament Week

Netball

Well done to the Awatapu College sport teams who competed in Winter Tournament Week in Week 8. The Senior A Netball Team competed at the Lower North Island Secondary School Netball Tournament in Palmerston North (pictured). The 1st Xl Girls Hockey Team competed in the Hawkes Bay and won silver! Well done, girls!

Rep Achievement

Congratulations to Malachi Nuka Nuka who has been selected in the Manawatu U16 Rep Rugby Team.

Judo Champ

Congratulations to Briar Beals who competed at the North Island Judo Championships recently. Briar received an uncontested gold medal for her weight category in the cadets and won a silver medal for her weight category in the senior girls. Well done!

Dance NZ Made

Congratulations to the Awatapu College Dance Group who competed in the Dance NZ Made Regionals on Friday 7 September. The group spent countless hours practicing their routine and should be extremely proud of their efforts. Well done!
