Hands On Food

A group of Year 11 students recently took part in the Hands on Food workshop run by Wholegrain Organics. These workshops give students the opportunity to learn how to cook sustainable, plant based meals — this week the group made seasonal pumpkin hummus on grain bread.

Senior Classes Cancelled 15/8/18

Dear parents and caregivers of senior students,

As you may be aware, primary schools will be taking strike action on Wednesday 15 August. While Awatapu College will not close on this day, this strike will hinder our ability to run normal programmes due to reduced staffing. As such, no senior classes (Years 11-13) will be operating on Wednesday 15 August. For this reason we ask that parents/caregivers of Years 11-13 students keep their child home on this day. Please note, normal classes will operate for junior students (Years 9 and 10) and 400 Block students.

If your senior child (Years 11-13) requires supervision please contact the College office to make a request for your son/daughter to be supervised on this day.

Thank you for your cooperation.
