"As a Year 12 student about to enter my final year at Awatapu, I am looking forward to a year of learning and growth as the student representative. My goal is to effectively voice the interests of my peers in collaboration with the Principal and student council".

Congratulations to the students involved in the 2016 BCITO Build Ability Challenge. Their "Crooked Playhouse" won the Dulux Award for Best Decorated Playhouse, 2nd place in the Supreme Award and 3rd place in the People's Choice Award. Well done!
The judges commended the students on the technical aspects of the design and their creative concept. They also praised them on their descriptive weekly blog which included many photos and videos. The students put a lot of thought into the end client and used a fantastic selection of Dulux paints to create a striking design.
As part of the award, Dulux will be awarding Awatapu College $1,000 of painting materials for the school and individual prize packs for the students.
