Stationery Requirements 2022

We’ve collaborated with OfficeMax to make back to school easy! Your child’s school stationery list is already online at www.myschool.co.nz/awatapu. Simply select your child's class and/or subject lists and follow the instructions on the website. NB: Some items must be purchased from the school office.

For a list of stationery requirements for each year level, please click here.

From 2020, students and parents can also purchase a range of laptops from PBTech through our new optional BYOD scheme. Using a code (BYOD2020) families can logon to https://www.pbtech.co.nz/education/byod/awatapu-college?qr=pb_byod and purchase from a variety of laptops at a discount. Finance is available through PBTech.

Changes to Pastoral System 2020

After a review of our pastoral care structure, we have made the decision to move to Year Level Deans in 2020. This means your child will no longer have a Head of House but rather a Dean for their Year Level. Deans will move through the levels with their year group, getting to know the needs of their students well and providing a constant point of contact for parents.

The Year Level Deans for 2020 are:

Year 9        Mr Fisher and Ms Griffin
Year 10 Mrs Orme and Mr Tuck
Year 11 Mr Binsted and Mrs Scott
Year 12/13         Mr Howarth and Mrs Povey

School Holiday Closing Period

The school office will be closed from Thursday 12 December 2019 and will reopen Tuesday 21 January 2020. Please click here for detailed information regarding start dates for students.
