Year 10 Camps - Deposit Due

A reminder, the Year 10 Camps deposits are due Monday 24 July. Camp deposits are $100 and can be paid at the School Office by cash, eftpos or cheque.

Year 10 camps for 2017 will run from Monday 27 November to Friday 1 December 2017. Camps are run in groups of up to 30 people and the students select the camp that appeals most. These camps range in price but can cost as much as $450.  As this is a costly exercise, particularly so close to Christmas, we can set up automatic payments anytime to help budget for this. Please contact the School Office for automatic payment forms. For more information on Year 10 camps, please contact Mrs Newton on 356 4817.

Fulbright Distinguished Teaching Award

A fantastic evening in the Beehive as our own HOD Art / HOH Ngata, Mr Keith Dobson, received his Fulbright Distinguished Teaching Award. This award is granted to only two New Zealand teachers a year, giving them the opportunity to participate in an intensive professional development programme in the USA.

Mr Dobson will spend four months at the University of Indiana, USA from August to December this year working collaboratively with 18 other teachers from Finland, India, Israel, Mexico, Morocco, Singapore, Taiwan and Vietnam. We wish him all the best for his trip.
