UCOL U-Skills Graduation

Congratulations to the Year 12 and 13 students who completed the U-Skills Academy programme and were presented with their certificates at the UCOL prize giving ceremony recently.

U-Skills offers secondary students a unique experience to gain a number of NCEA credits whilst studying at UCOL and developing industry relevant skills.

We are extremely proud of all those who completed the course, particularly Wajahat Muhammad Jawad who was awarded overall Most Improved student from the 300 secondary students who attend U-Skills in Palmerston North. Well done, Wajahat!

Rep Team Achievement

Congratulations to Ruby Elliott, Elouise Hook, Kyle McGoldrick, Trinity Mitchell and Lara Mitchell who have been named in Manawatu Representative Hockey teams.

Congratulations also to Brianna Hayes-McEwen who has been selected in the Manawatu U15 Women’s Representative Football team.

Getting Wilder Photography Competition

Congratulations to Ashleigh Richards who won first place in the “Inspired to Support” category of the Forest and Bird Manawatu Youth “Getting Wilder” photography competition. The competition was about connecting nature and had three categories - Nature is Everywhere, Outdoor Adventures, and Inspired to Support. Ashleigh’s winning photo was named ‘One Small Light’ and is part of the EnviroFest exhibition at Square Edge.

Congratulations to Britney Lee who recently competed at the New Zealand Cheer Union Competition held in Wellington. Britney’s team, “Zero Gravity Cheer”, won 1st place in the Level Three Co-Ed grade. Well done, Britney!

Red Nose Day

Thanks to everyone who took part in the Red Nose Day held recently. It was great to see so many students and staff support Red Nose Day by dressing in red and wearing their red noses. As a school we raised $1199 for Cure Kids. Well done!
