Pūhoro Scholarship

Congratulations to Malachy Kingi-McCavana who has been selected to attend an overseas experience to Taiwan and Singapore as part of the Pūhoro STEM Academy. The experience aims to inspire, connect and expose senior Pūhoro STEM Academy students to the dynamic STEM horizons of the world whilst providing an opportunity to engage with leaders in health technology, digital technology and computer engineering.

This year’s excursion will connect fifteen Academy students with consecutive experiences in Taiwan and then onto Singapore through connections held with the Council of Indigenous Peoples of Taiwan, Environmental Science and Research (ESR) and New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE).

Malachy was selected from a substantial number of applicants from across the Year 13 cohort. Congratulations, Malachy. Pūhoro ki te hoe!!
