Seeking Success - Op Shop

The Seeking Success Op Shop officially opened at the end of Term Two. The store has been extremely popular. Thanks to all the very generous clothing donations.

The Op Shop is open every Friday lunchtime with all clothing priced at $2.

So far, sales from the Op Shop have reached over $500. All proceeds go directly to Seeking Success - a fund that has been set up by Awatapu College students for the direct benefit of their fellow pupils.

Young Women in Leadership

Congratulations to the Awatapu Children’s Ward Fun Raisers - Vaniza Nacion, Jodie Evans, Janae Brown, Helen Liu and Teuila Nosa! Their goal was to raise funds to provide activity packs to give to sick children in hospital. Together with the Palmerston North Youth Council grant they applied for, and their efforts with the Give A Little page and bake sales, the girls will be able to provide 100 packs. Whitcoulls have also come to the party and are providing activity books and stationery at discounted prices. If you would like to support this cause, donations are welcome at the school office.

Year 10 Camps

A reminder to all families that Year 10 Camps run in the second to last week of Term Four (Monday 28th November - Friday 2nd December). The camps are an important part of the Curriculum and are usually the highlight of our Year 10 students’ year. These camps range in price and must be paid in full before the end of Term Three. Many families take advantage of the automatic payment system to pay in advance for these camps. If you would like an automatic payment form, please contact the school office by phoning 356 4817. For more information on Year 10 Camps, please contact Mrs Newton.
