Senior Interview Evening

The Senior Interview/Subject Confirmation evening will be held on Thursday 22 August 2019. Please note that the school will close at 3pm on this day (buses will run as normal). We encourage all parents/caregivers to attend so that they can actively monitor their child's academic progress.

Bookings for Parent/Teacher Interviews can be completed online. The booking process is user-friendly making it easy for parents/caregivers to book appointments to meet with the son/daughter's teachers. Cheerleading ChampCheerleading

Congratulations to Carly Atkin and her cheerleading team from Zero Gravity Cheerleading who competed at the Eutopia Cheer and Dance competition in Sydney recently. Carly’s team won both their grade division and grand champions overall - beating 14 other teams on points across all levels. This win has given the team the opportunity to compete at the Global Games Cheer and Dance in Hawaii in 2021. Congratulations!

Youth Science Forum

Congratulations to Niamh Frizzell who has received a scholarship to attend the London International Youth Science Forum (LIYSF) this term. LIYSF is a two week residential student event held at the Imperial College London and the Royal Geographical Society and aims to give a deeper insight into science and its applications for the benefit of all mankind; and to develop a greater understanding between young people of all nations. The programme includes lecture demonstrations from leading scientists, visits to world class laboratories and universities combined with cultural interactions with 500 students aged 16-21 years old from 70 countries. Niamh will be staying at the Imperial College in South Kensington. This is a fantastic experience and we look forward to Niamh sharing her knowledge when she returns later this term.

IHC Art AwardsIHC

Congratulations to Malachi Oldridge who has been selected as a top 30 finalist of the IHC Art Awards. This is the second year Malachi’s art has been selected. Malachi has been part of a private art session group facilitated by Aroha Lowe each week. His entry represents his Nani Kataraina as "A Māori Girl" and pays homage to E.Mervyn Taylor's earlier work. Canoe Polo News

Congratulations to two of our canoe polo players, Bianca Trewick and Sophia Babbage, who won the silver medal representing the Central North Island in the 2019 New Zealand Canoe Polo National League in the Women’s B Grade Division recently.

Massey M3S CompetitionM3S

Towards the end of Term Two, Sophia Babbage, Bach Pham and Minh Hoang Pham took part in Massey University's M3S Mathematics and Statistics competition. The competition provides students with an opportunity to engage in mathematics and statistics on problems that are both fun and challenging.
